Breakout Week 4

In Week 4 of our series, Breakout, Pastor Ben preaches on Genesis 34. It's one of the toughest stories we have encountered in our journey through the Old Testament thus far. In this message, we will see Jacob, who has been taking some steps spiritually, takes a few steps back. Pastor Ben will discuss the importance of active fathers leading their homes as well as the importance of being in the place where God wants you to be.

Breakout Week 1

We start a brand new series in our journey through the Old Testament: Breakout. In this series, we will see Jacob breakout physically and spiritually. In today's message, Pastor Ben finishes Genesis 30 and 31. We see Jacob begin to not just think of himself, but his family also. Jacob, who has been working for Laban for 20 years, finally builds up the courage to leave and lead his family of four wives and twelve kids. We also see God speak to Jacob for the first time in 20 years and see God speak to Laban.  However, despite his conversation with God, Laban never changed.

Messy Life Week 4

As our five year journey through the Old Testament continues, Pastor Ben York preaches through Chapter 29:31-35 and Genesis 30:1-24. Jacob's life continues to spiral as we will see his wives, Rachel and Leah, fight for his love and affection. Rachel and Leah's sibling rivalry will result in Jacob marrying their maids and Jacob fathering 13 kids. 
In this message, we will the importance of going to God with our mess and how God can take the mess of Jacob's family, and yours, and turn it into a legacy.

Messy Life Week 3

As our five year journey through the Old Testament continues, Pastor Ben York finishes Chapter 28 and begins Genesis 29. We find Jacob on the run from his brother Esau to Haran. In Haran, he meets his Uncle Laban, a conniver and trickster in his own right, and Laban's two daughters, Rachel and Leah. In this crazy story, Jacob works 14 years for Laban and ends up marrying both of Laban's daughters. 
In this message, we will see the beginning of Jacob's walk with God and God's discipline of Jacob. We will also see why God disciplines us as believers and how we should approach dating in the Christian life.

Messy Life Week 2

As our five year journey through the Old Testament continues, Pastor Ben York preaches through Genesis 27. We see the Messy Life of Isaac and Rebekah unfold as it's Isaac and Esau vs. Rebekah and Jacob. Isaac tries to privately bless Esau while Rebekah devises a plan for Jacob to receive the blessing instead. Today, we will see the importance of parents seeking God and allow God to guide and direct their family and decision making.

Messy Life Week 1

As our five year journey through the Old Testament continues, Pastor Ben York finishes Genesis 25. In this message, we see Isaac and Rebekah struggle to have their own kids. Isaac prays to God for 20 years before his wife, Rebekah, gives birth to a set of twins, Jacob and Esau. Genesis 25:19-34 tells us that those twins fought each other in her womb and the descendants of Jacob and Esau still fight each other to this day. We also see the importance of prayer and the danger of favoritism in the family.

Genesis Week 9
